Questions and answers
Shipping, payment, returns, the pieces and the shop. Anything else: call +30 22890 24976 or write to us.
What are the pieces made of?
Every bracelet and necklace in the shop is 925 sterling silver. Most designs come in a white, yellow or pink finish, often with a choice of stone colours, and you pick them on the product page. Permanent bracelets and anklets, welded in the shop, are available in silver and in gold.
How much is shipping and how long does delivery take?
Shipping costs €10 per order in Greece and €25 per order to every other country. Every parcel is sent tracked and you receive the tracking number by email. Orders leave the shop within a few working days; delivery then takes about 2 to 5 working days in Greece and 5 to 15 working days abroad.
Do you ship outside the European Union?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Prices include Greek VAT. For deliveries outside the European Union your country may charge import duties and taxes on arrival; they are paid by you and are not included in our prices. We contact you about any such charges before we ship, so there are no surprises.
How can I pay?
By PayPal, with a PayPal account or with a card through PayPal, or by direct bank transfer. Prices are in euros, VAT included. Orders paid by bank transfer are made and shipped once the money has arrived in our account.
Can I return a piece?
Yes. You can return a piece within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. Email us within those 14 days, then send the piece back within another 14 days, unworn and in its original condition. You pay the return shipping; we refund the price of the piece and the original shipping within 14 days of receiving it back. Personalised and custom pieces are made for you and cannot be returned. If a piece arrives damaged or has a fault, we repair, replace or refund it at no cost to you, and every piece is covered by the two-year legal guarantee.
How do I choose the chain length and the colours?
On each product page you choose the options offered for that design: the colour of the silver, the stone colour where the piece has stones, and for necklaces the chain length, from 35 to 90 cm. The price shown updates with the length you pick. If you are unsure which length suits you, call or email us before you order.
What is permanent jewelry, and can I order it online?
Permanent jewelry is a fine chain closed around your wrist or ankle with a tiny laser weld instead of a clasp. It stays on through swimming, showers and sleep until you decide to cut it. It is welded in our shop in Little Venice only and cannot be ordered online: walk in, no appointment needed, choose from about 170 chains in silver or gold, and the weld takes a few minutes. If you ever need to take it off, cut the chain at the jump ring and bring it back; we weld it again.
Do you make custom pieces?
Yes: belly chains, body chains, a piece from the shop in another length or combination, or something from a sketch or a photo, in 925 sterling silver. Call +30 22890 24976 or email stathiskontarinis@hotmail.com with what you have in mind and your measurements; we reply with a price and how long the piece takes. Custom pieces are paid by PayPal or bank transfer and shipped tracked, or collected in the shop.
Where is the shop?
The Corner Jewelry Market (Stathis Jewels) is at Kouzi Georgouli 27, Little Venice, 84600 Mykonos, Greece, on the corner where Nikolaos Kontarinis opened it in 1962. Phone +30 22890 24976. Opening hours change with the season, so call ahead if you are making a special trip.
Where is my order?
When your order ships you receive an email with the tracking number. The order confirmation email also has a link to your order page with its status. If you no longer have the email, the "Find my order" page sends you a fresh link.
How do I look after silver jewelry?
Sterling silver may darken a little over time; a quick polish with a soft cloth brings the shine back. Keep pieces you are not wearing in a dry pouch or box. Permanent pieces are made to stay on; bring them to the shop if a weld ever needs attention.
